π΅ How to add these new music files to your gameβ

β Step-by-Stepβ
This will be as easy as place-a-file-in-a-folder.
- Install the Personal Music Framework mod. Use your mod manager (like MO2 or Vortex) , https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/134467?tab=description
including the dependency "Music Type Distributor. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/119571?tab=files
Dont worry, these two mods are extremely lightweight and compatible with everything on your mod list , as they dont make edits or add any scripts. They will essentially create a folder where you can then place music that will be played on locations tied to those folders and xwm files (they must have exact names to work, already done here)
-
When installing with the FOMOD you will be asked if you want to replace your vanilla music or if the new music will be used as addition, i recommend using them as aditions, not replacements.
-
After installing Persona MUsic Frameword , Navigate to your Skyrim Music folder : Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Music\
-
Locate the correct subfolder for the music you want to add. Each folder represents a music category (for example): Exploration, Taverns or Whiterun
Choose the one that fits when you want the track to play. They have already the correct name
- Place your
.xwmfiles inside the appropriate folder, allow replacement of the existing file there ( its a silent placeholder file, meant to be replaced) Example:Skyrim Special Edition\Data\Music\Towns and Cities\Castles\Castles (1).xwm
Thats it, now the music will play whenever your are in the chosen place , or be in that list of available music.
